Matthew Ashton's rainbow-coloured set for Pride Month celebrates LEGO fans' diversity

Featuring 11 monochrome mini-figures, each with its own individual hairstyle and rainbow colour, the entire set has 346 pieces in total and stands at just over 10cm tall and has a depth of nearly 13cm, which would sit nicely on most shelves or any humble window sill.

Behind its creation is set designer Matthew Ashton and VP of Design: "I wanted to create a model that symbolises inclusivity and celebrates everyone, no matter how they identify or who they love. Everyone is unique, and with a little more love, acceptance and understanding in the world, we can all feel freer to be our true awesome selves!"

Matthew shares more of his thoughts behind the idea over on the LEGO blog, with a key theme being that if he had been given this set by somebody at the "coming out" period of his life, it would have been "such a relief to know that somebody had my back".

He goes on to say: "I am fortunate to be a part of a proud, supportive and passionate community of colleagues and fans. We share a love for creativity and self-expression through LEGO bricks and this set is a way to show my gratitude for all the love and inspiration that is constantly shared."

Everyone is Awesome goes on sale from 1 June to mark the beginning of Pride Month and will be available via LEGO.com and LEGO stores.
