Veselka Bulkan is the person behind Little Herb Bouquet – an online shop where she sells her extraordinary, hand embroidered hoop art – mainly of clever little crafted vegetables, dangling off the edge of each canvas.
With an unexpected twist on what you'd usually expect from this medium of crafting, her felted, edible goodies hang from the hoop, with only the leaves of each vegetable remaining on the main surface area. We're talking things like carrots, beetroot, radishes and onions – all in appealing bright colours.
Speaking of her work, the Munich-based artist said: "I am fully inspired by this nice city. I love being able to hear the sound of bicycles and dog paws everywhere. I love exploring nature, long picnics, cycling around lakes in the Alps. I get excited especially observing the changes of the textures with the transition of the seasons. It is invaluable to visit local farm and flower markets, and then take a break to have a good coffee together with friends in a cosy cafe."
