Embrace these charming illustrated cards for a memory game called Die Katze im Sack (which literally translates as "The Cat in the Sack"), created by Swiss illustrator and graphic artist Alice Kolb.
Available to buy via Büchergilde Gutenberg, the game can be played with a minimum of two players from the age of 10 years old. Behind each illustration lies an expression that gives you a clue as to what the drawing might be about. An idiom, if you will. Like "The Cat in the Sack", which means "a ruse, swindle, or suspicious transaction", according to The Free Dictionary.
With a bold colour palette of blue and orange, it's an eye-catching product from the Bern-based creative who studied Visual Communication, Illustration and Art Teaching in Lucerne and Strasbourg. Alice works with publishers, for clients and agencies, and loves the odd side project too. You can discover more of her work at alicekolb.ch or follow her on Instagram.
