London-based creative studio IYA has developed a classy new identity for handmade leather goods brand Lost Property of London (LPOL).
Each of LPOL’s bags is cut, skived, riveted, sewn, edge-dyed, buffed, checked and finished by hand. This handcrafted element, along with LPOL’s use of natural materials, muted colours and balance between distinguished Britishness and a modern minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic, has provided the inspiration for the overall look of the brand’s new identity.
The team at IYA developed a bold logotype with subtle cuts, reflecting the details and quirks you can only get from the handmade process, and carefully selected stocks and finishes for brand collateral to reflect premium quality of the brand.
Letterpress specialists Typoretum were then brought on board to bring it all to life using vintage machinery, giving the new brand materials a contemporary yet traditional feel.
