Experience light through art and science at KANEKO’s latest exhibition in Omaha, Nebraska where you can interact with the many installations on show from artists including Adam Belt, Circus Family, Corey Broman, Foldhaus, Jason Webb, Refik Anadol, SKYGLOW and Taylor Dean Harrison.
Light hosts a variety of performances, lectures, youth education, and hands-on creative experiences to connect visitors with their own creativity. Participating creatives employ glass, sculpture and light itself to showcase the sublime beauty that light evokes aesthetically and thematically. Visitors will gain insight into scientific issues such as vision and optics, physiology of light energy, sustainability, light pollution and conservation.
A large part of the exhibition is reliant on audience participation. So you'll be able to step into an infinite abyss with Refik Anadol’s audiovisual installation. Move through large geometric forms that change colour, audio and intensity during an immersive light experience by Circus Family. And escape into a cocoon constructed of stainless steel, acrylic, and LEDs that absorbs you in a field of playable light by Taylor Dean Harrison.
Light runs until 23 March 2018 at KANEKO in Omaha, Nebraska. Admission to the gallery is free.
