Stunning classic prints for Transport for London remind us how to travel in style

If you've got something of a soft spot for classic poster designs for Transport for London, then you're going to love what London Transport Museum has in store from 27 January.

Reimagining Historic Posters will feature 21 stunning original prints from its collection, focusing on the ways that graphic designers and artists have been inspired by and engaged with past poster designs. Whether promoting travel etiquette or sightseeing in the capital, these posters show us how memorable designs and messages can be cleverly reinterpreted for contemporary audiences.

Two of the most popular posters from the collection will be on display: London Transport by Man Ray from 1938, regarded as one of the most iconic artworks designed for the Underground and Brightest London and Home by Underground, by Horace Taylor, 1924.

London Transport Museum’s latest poster parade ‘Reimagining Historic Posters’ is open to all Museum ticket holders to see from 27 January 2017. For further information, visit www.ltmuseum.co.uk. Or you can purchase your favourite prints via www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk.
