Graphic design and music have always been comfortable yet passionate bedfellows, and musician/designer Tycho is continuing that tradition in style. The San Francisco-born creative's real name is Scott Hansen, and his ambient sounds are a neat contrast to the rigid geometries and bold colour palettes of his design work.
As if two names weren't enough, he sometimes assumes the moniker ISO50 for his photographic and design works. The graphics we're showing you here draw on the sunrise imagery that forms a motif throughout his sleeve designs, and abstract it to within an inch of its life. What's clever about the work is that it's still recognisable, and he's created a clever thread that runs throughout. Minimalist art has clearly had an impact on Hansen, and there's certainly a touch of Russian Constructivism at play, too, in the crisp linework and use of bold reds.
You can have a listen to a bunch of his tracks on his Soundcloud here.
