To celebrate the key workers and frontline healthcare professionals during the Covid-19 crisis, Adobe has launched a digital art collaboration called Honour Heroes, featuring original works by artists and creatives across the UK.
The heartwarming designs, illustrations and photographs are inspired by personal stories of the heroic efforts of parents and friends working for the NHS, supermarket staff, cashiers and delivery people – plus anyone else keeping our nation running and helping to save lives.
Works featured so far include those by paper artist Paperboyo (Rich McCor), illustrator Alex Jenkins, comic book artist Amrit Birdi and photographer Claire Luxton – to name a few. You can see more in Adobe's online gallery.
If you want to get involved, here's what you do: choose a person you'd like to honour, use Photoshop or your favourite creative app to create a portrait, and then share on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #HonourHeroes and tag @adobe.
"At a time when many people are taking up creative ad artistic pursuits during the lockdown, this was the perfect opportunity to shine a light on those people on the frontline who are saving lives and keeping us safe," says Adobe.
Even better, this digital art collaboration in partnership with Adobe also includes a £100,000 donation to NHS Charities Together.
