OFFF Barcelona celebrates 25 years with its most ambitious edition yet

Marking a quarter-century at the forefront of design and digital culture, OFFF Barcelona returns in 2025, bringing together top creative minds, cutting-edge workshops, and an expanded city-wide experience to inspire the next generation of innovators.

OFFF Barcelona, the world-renowned festival at the intersection of creativity, art, and digital design, is set to mark its 25th anniversary with its most ambitious edition yet.

Taking place from the 8th - 10th May 2025 at Disseny Hub Barcelona, the festival will bring together 70 speakers, an expanded programme of workshops and exhibitions, and a city-wide initiative in a bid to connect with the public like never before.

Since its inception in 2001, OFFF Barcelona has cemented itself as a pioneering force in the global creative industry. In a recent interview with Creative Boom, OFFF founder Pep Salazar reflected on the festival's journey over the past 25 years, discussing its evolution and continued commitment to fostering creativity on a global scale.

Over the years, it has showcased groundbreaking ideas, fostered innovation, and provided a platform for some of the most influential minds in design, motion graphics, AI, and digital culture. For its landmark 25th edition, OFFF will once again serve as a hub for forward-thinking creatives, featuring a stellar lineup that includes Anna Ginsburg, Boldtron, DixonBaxi, Ines Alpha, Marina Willer, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Mat Voyce, Niceaunties, Paul Trillo, and Territory Studio, among others.

Attendees can expect three days of talks, hands-on workshops, masterclasses, and interactive exhibitions. Among the highlights is DixonBaxi, the branding and digital experience agency behind work for Hulu and CW, which will unveil a special video dedicated to OFFF's 25th anniversary.

Meanwhile, Territory Studio, known for its stunning visual effects in Blade Runner 2049 and Avengers: Endgame, will present Main Titles, a project reinforcing its leadership in motion graphics and digital design.

AI and digital art will also take centre stage, with speakers such as Boldtron, Ines Alpha, Niceaunties, and Paul Trillo discussing their distinct approaches to AI-driven creativity. Visitors can also expect an insightful talk by Emmy-winning creative director Filipe Carvalho, known for his work on Westworld.

For the first time, OFFF will extend beyond its usual venue with 'OFFF a la Ciutat' (OFFF for the City) - a series of free and public events designed to engage the local community. The festival will feature La Plaça Design Market, now an open-air space showcasing a curated selection of local and international designers that is accessible to the public.

The Screen will transform the Disseny Hub facade into a large-scale projection canvas, debuting with an open-call showcase in collaboration with Frameboy. In addition, it will present a curated selection of design pieces from festival speakers handpicked by filmmaker and experiential designer Nathalie Van Sasse Van Ysselt, culminating in immersive public events.

The NXT Project at OFFF will spotlight emerging talent from 12 leading design schools, providing young creatives an opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, OFFF has unveiled a bold new brand identity developed by New York agency COLLINS. The rebrand reflects OFFF's ongoing evolution from a local creative gathering to a globally recognised force in design and digital culture.

According to COLLINS, the identity represents "a dual force: one that attracts and one that expands," reinforcing OFFF's role as a space where innovation converges and ideas flourish.

With OFFF Barcelona 2025 set to be a milestone edition, the festival continues to expand its reach globally. This year, OFFF editions will also be held in Mexico (August 28-29), Montreal (September 8-9), and Seville (November 27-29), further solidifying its status as a premier platform for creative minds worldwide.

Whether you're a designer, artist, or digital innovator, this year's festival promises an unmissable opportunity to be part of a defining moment in contemporary creativity.
