And this year – for the first time – all seven of the selected tracks have been pressed to 7", so if you love your vinyl and you're hoping to retain some limited edition art – perhaps even your own – then read on.

For the uninitiated, the concept is simple: Secret 7" takes seven iconic tracks and presses each one 100 times to 7" vinyl. Hundreds of the world’s leading artists and creatives then create unique sleeve artwork for each record.

All 700 records will go on display in a free exhibition at The Jetty from 8 June 2018, at the end of which (24 June) they all go on sale for the uniform price of £50. The catch? The identity of the sleeve designer remains a closely guarded secret until it’s in the buyer's hands. Therein lies the secret. All profits from the sale will go to mental health charity Mind.

Now, here's the exciting bit. The tracks for 2018 are:

The Clash - I’m Not Down
Eurythmics - I Saved The World Today
Jeff Buckley - Lover, You Should’ve Come Over
Jimi Hendrix - Castles Made of Sand
London Grammar - Help
Manic Street Preachers - No Surface All Feeling
Primal Scream - Damaged

Secret 7" is open to submissions from all. From now until 24 April 2018, anyone can submit their artwork to be considered for the 2018 exhibition. For more information on how to submit artwork, head to www.secret-7.com.

Those that make the final selection will find themselves in the company of some of the artistic community’s leading lights. Previous sleeve designers have included the likes of Sir Anish Kapoor, Sir Peter Blake, Yoko Ono, Sir Paul Smith, Ai Weiwei, Gilbert & George, David Shrigley, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Julian Opie, Jenny Holzer and Jake & Dinos Chapman. This year’s artist contributors will be revealed in May.

With unrivalled panoramic views of the River Thames, The Jetty is the ideal setting for the new summertime show, providing a unique backdrop for guests to enjoy the exhibition this year. Originally designed as an unloading point for coal destined for Blackwall Point Power Station, The Jetty is a floating urban garden and cultural space that sits on top of the River Thames and is a key addition to the burgeoning cultural community that is growing on Greenwich Peninsula.

In addition to collaborating with Greenwich Peninsula, Secret 7" will be partnering with Sony Music for the first time in its history. They join fellow partners Squarespace, who will create unique interactive musical and design experiences for the project.
