The Other Art Fair returns to London later this month to showcase the rising stars of the art world, including names such as Kristjana Williams, Victoria Topping, Marcelina Amelia, Sara Dare, Alexander Korzer-Robinson, Olivier Marc Thomas Leger and Michael Swallow.
Described by The Guardian as "The Future of Art", the fair has welcomed over 200,000 visitors since its launch in 2011 and is now an essential fixture on the creative calendar. You'll be able to see (and buy) the work of 120 contemporary artists, hand-picked across all mediums – some of their work we've highlighted here.
There will also be a series of immersive installations, including a creation by multi-award-winning Morag Myerscough, who will be taking over the entrance with her colourful signature graphic style. Fei Alexeli, meanwhile, will be transforming her ‘No Bad Days’ artwork into a live neon bar, complete with swing, exotic plants and ‘No Bad Days’ cocktails.
Elsewhere, Art on a Postcard will feature limited-edition artworks on postcards by a mix of renowned artists including 2017 Turner Prize winner Lubaina Himid. Other participating artists include; Paula Rego, Ben Johnson, Billy Childish and Jimmy Cauty, with a live auction on-site on Sunday.
Bluestone Babe, the renowned artist and feminist, will be flying over from Brooklyn to tattoo a series of her designs for the weekend event. This will be her first time tattooing in London and Europe. No pre-booking required, tattoo slots are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
There will also be a series of Saatchi Art Talks, with discussions and artist Q&As taking place throughout the weekend in the Saatchi Art Lounge, where yet more installations will feature.
The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art. takes place at Victoria House on Bloomsbury Square, London between 22-25 March 2018. Discover more at theotherartfair.com.
