Barcelona-based Bakoom Studio has made the most of just yellow and black in its art direction for the music group Sense Sal.
"They wanted to break with their old image and create a new personal graphic language," says the studio, which created designs used across everything from the group's website to CD designs, tote bags, records and more.
"We started asking them to select a series of words, concepts, phrases that appear in their songs and titles too," the studio explains. "From these words we created a series of elements, objects and geometric figures that construct them, creating a universe with a strong symbolism for all of them."
The geometric illustrations were created so that they fit together in a way that creates "an orderly disorder."
Depending on the application, the elements are ordered in different formats and patterns. This means the various hieroglyphics can subtly hint at the contents of individual songs.
