Described as "art you can enjoy seven days a week and it still makes you happy every time you look at it," over 100 artworks from Todd Goldman's classic series Never Grow Up will be brought together for the first time at an exclusive exhibition in New York City this September.
The pop culture icon is a self-professed professional doodler, as well as a popular author, fashion designer and producer. His work is an unabashed satire on adult behaviour, expressed with a youthful vision. No subject matter is off limits. His art celebrates nerds, spandex, stupid boys, mean girls, sexuality, and so much more.
Often described as a bit irreverent and somewhat controversial but always entertaining, no two subjects are alike. Each piece celebrates the child in all of us. From Spandex is a Privilege Not a Right to I Bring Nothing to the Table... From Boys are Stupid Throw Rocks at Them to We’re the Same Colour You Idiot, the exclusive exhibit is expected to draw fans worldwide.
"I often paint what I am thinking or what others are thinking actually," says Goldman. "I think we all need to laugh and my art is meant to take a young approach to adult humour and celebrate it on canvas."
Todd Goldman's Never Grow Up will launch on 14 September at The Ross Art Group on Madison Avenue. For more information check the website at rossartgroup.com.
