Mount Street, in collaboration with Frieze London, has commissioned four leading female artists to create limited edition prints, which are available to buy exclusively from a pop-up stand in Mayfair this week.
The project, Mount Street Editions by Frieze, has drawn inspiration from the renowned art fair’s new section, Social Work, which celebrates artists who have challenged the male-dominated art market of the 1980s.
Artists include France-Lise McGurn, whose epic wall painting was a standout of the recent Virginia Woolf exhibition at Tate St Ives; Helen Cammock, winner of the 2018 MaxMara Prize for Women’s Art; Zadie Xa, whose work is currently on view at MoMA PS1 and who will have a solo presentation at Frieze London 2018 and Renee So, acclaimed for her knitted and ceramic works investigating hybrid identities.
The prints go on sale each day until 7 October from the vehicle on Mount Street from 10am for 100 minutes. Printed by Mount Street Printers, only 100 posters will be available per artist, priced at £50 each.
All proceeds raised from the sale of the prints will be donated to two charities, Dress for Success and the Young Women’s Trust, which provide vital support to women in the UK.
